Northeast Florida
Riverfront homes. On the St. Johns, under the oaks.
Homes on the St. Johns River, from Riverside and San Marco to San Jose, Mandarin and Fleming Island, live under old oaks with the river at their back. Shade, moisture and debris are constant, and many of these homes are old enough that their materials cannot be bought again. Our members' river homes are preserved, not repaired.
What riverfront homes face
Oak and moss
Leaves, moss and tassels on the roof and in the gutters, all year.
The river side
Docks, boathouses, seawall caps and screens stay damp.
Historic materials
Original brick, stucco, tile and wood, kept original.
A membership here
River plans balance the roof and gutters under the trees with the dock and the water side of the house.
A house can carry dozens of different materials on the outside, and every one of them is cared for as its own thing, roof to curb, so it looks right not just the day after a visit but in ten, twenty and thirty years. When we find something that should be repaired, we tell you while it is small, and we can take care of it for you. Repairs are priced separately from membership. How exterior home management works.
How membership works
The assessment
Kalen Yeager, our founder, walks the property with you, then assesses every surface on his own. It is complimentary.
The plan
Four Season Membership: four visits a year, one each season, built around how your house weathers. Some homes want more.
The record
Every visit is photographed and kept in one record of the house, so wear reads as a trend and repairs are caught while they are small.
Questions
Do you care for docks and boathouses on the river?
