Walls

Coquina and tabby.Shell stone, kept for centuries more.

Coquina has stood in St. Augustine for centuries. It is also soft, porous and easily lost. Our members' coquina keeps its texture, its color and its edges, as if it should last centuries more.

A coastal estate exterior
From our work in St. Johns County

What you might be seeing

Black or green on the face

Growth settling into the open shell.

Soft or crumbling edges

Wind, water and the wrong care wearing it away.

Ten, twenty, thirty years from now

Coquina that is kept right stays coquina: textured, warm and whole, for another generation and the next.

That is the difference between a surface that looks good the day after and one that lasts. It is easier to keep a house right than to bring one back.

What you never think about again

Off your list

It is on the schedule, every season. You never call, compare or manage anyone, and you never need to be home.

Already ready

Guests this weekend, a holiday, a listing photo. The house is already right, so there is nothing to get ready.

How membership works

The assessment

Kalen Yeager, our founder, walks the property with you, then assesses every surface on his own. It is complimentary.

The plan

Four Season Membership: four visits a year, one each season, built around how your house weathers. Some homes want more.

The record

Every visit is photographed and kept in one record of the house, so wear reads as a trend and repairs are caught while they are small.

Questions

Can blackened coquina come back?

Often, yes. Kalen will tell you what he sees at the assessment.
